It is not enough to know the law to be a good lawyer. An interdisciplinary approach with a strong humanistic, economic and business component ensures that lawyers – and especially arbitrators – make decisions with greater sensitivity and based on an in – depth analysis.
Only then will we be more lucid, more attentive and more aware of the world around us. In the world of arbitration, this means that we must make people’s lives easier: we must untie knots.

I am a professor in the Department of Commercial Law at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a member of the Council of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, and vice president of CEIA Mujeres, an initiative of the Club Español e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje (CEIA).

One of the most beautiful, significant and relevant aspects of my professional life is my academic life.
Until 2022, I was linked to Universidad del Pacífico in Peru for twelve years, where I was a senior lecturer and Dean of the School of Law, after being head of the Academic Department of Law and Vice-dean. I am now continuing my teaching activity in Spain, at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
